Our mission at NJAT is to provide rigorous and interdisciplinary learning experiences that are student centered and exploratory. Using this approach, we strive to provide our students with the necessary skills for success in an ever-changing world. Reading and writing across the curricula, debate and accountable talk discussions are the bedrock of this approach.

We aim to develop students into curious, self-directed, and resilient learners with a strong moral compass. Students, teachers, and parents share a special partnership that is vital to this effort. We are dedicated to maintaining open, transparent, and proactive lines of communication between all stakeholders throughout the learning process.

Each student is expected to read one hundred literary works prior to graduation. Research studies indicate that an academic institution’s emphasis on literacy-based/core knowledge lessons is a successful modality in preparing students from all walks of life, with the tool set to gain entrance into highly touted colleges, universities and to secure desirable positions in the global marketplace. 

At NJAT, we encourage our students to explore the benefits of community service. Our annual service trip affords our students with the opportunity to participate in activities which enhance the lives of their younger counterparts. Suffice to say, these experiences enhance their psycho-social development.
